Building Healthy Families: Here are true words to remember and boldly speak aloud today or any day you may be feeling overwhelmed with temptation or any of life’s challenges: “Know ye then - sin, death, devil, and everything that assails me - that you are missing the mark. I am not afraid of you. For Christ, my dear Lord, has presented to me that triumph and victory of His by which you were laid low. And from this very gift of His I derive my name and am called a Christian. There is no other reason. My sin and death hung about His neck on Good Friday, but on the day of Easter they had completely disappeared. This victory He has bestowed on me. This is why I do not worry about you.” (from Luther’s Easter Sermon, 1530) A blessed, joyous, and lasting celebration of Easter to you and your family from Lutheran Family Service – here to serve you in person or via confidential telehealth link no matter where you live. Stewardship Moment: Jesus said, “Everyone then who hears these words of Mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock” (Matthew 7:24).  Jesus tells us that true wisdom is not just hearing His teachings but actively applying them.  That Rock is Christ, Who by His blood has given us salvation; by the Holy Spirit we live obedient lives of service, standing on that Rock.  Earthquakes, floods, and winds do not move or harm that house; life’s problems and temptations will not harm the believer who holds to the Rock, our Lord Jesus Christ.  Trusting in God’s strength, we respond to God’s Word by doing His will.  God’s will becomes our will.
