Time Change: On Sunday, July 20th St. John’s will have church at 10:00 a.m. This is due to only one pastor between both churches. Trinity’s Service will be at 8:30 a.m. Pastor Nelson and Jade will be with students at the National Youth Gathering in New Orleans.
Note Cards are now available for purchase near the card rack! Check them out! Free will donation. Thanks to Peggy Schadendorf for making these for us.
Quarterly Council Meeting will be Sunday, July 13 following service and the Voter’s Meeting will be held on July 20 at 11:00 a.m. (Remember church that day will be at 10:00 a.m.).

Burt Days will be celebrated on July 12.
· St. John’s will have a float in the parade that day. We are looking for someone to pull the float. Contact Jeff Schutjer or the church office if you would be willing to help!
· Burt Churches will be serving Coffee and Homemade Breads in the Activity Complex at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 12. Join us for a time of fellowship before the parade!
· A Sign up sheet is available if you would like to help us by donating Breads: Apple, Banana, Zucchini, pumpkin etc. Contact Karla Schutter

Camp Okoboji News
· Help Wanted: Camp Okoboji is in great need of additional cleaning staff as well as two summer cooks! Contact Kellie at (712) 337-3325 or kellie@campokoboji.org.

Building Healthy Families: Parents, grandparents and pew buddies! Martin Luther reportedly once said something to the effect of “When you wash your face, remember your baptism!” With warmer temperatures and (sometimes) more relaxed schedules, this time of year brings with it an increase in swimming, running through sprinklers and otherwise splashing about in various water sources. As you and your family are refreshed by such water play, take the opportunity to remind one another that you’re baptized and beloved children of God, washed in the waters of Holy Baptism, and “heirs having the hope of eternal life” (Titus 3:5-7). Trinity - Summer Worship Schedule: During the summer months there will only be one Sunday service at 9:00 a.m. The Saturday service will continue at 5:00 p.m. except for holiday or wedding weekends.
VBS at Trinity will be held (July 20-24)! Please contact Dee Dee Esser (320-0250) or church office 515-295-3518 to register children.
IDW Administrative Assistant Sue Light will be retiring at the end of July after 46 years of service. If you know Sue and would like to send her a note wishing her well in her retirement and thank her for her faithful service to our district, you can do so by sending it to Sue Light, 409 Kenyon Rd Suite B, For Dodge, Iowa 50501.

Burt Summer Celebration is coming soon! The day is planned for July 12 with many activities during the day! Church Coffee and Garage Sales at 8:00 a.m., Parade at 10:30 a.m., Meal at the Complex after the parade, many activities in the afternoon with food available, pedal pull, Toilet Toss, Watermelon derby, a dance in the evening and the night ending with the annual fireworks by the Burt Fire Dept. Mark your calendars and be sure to come!!!
