Building Healthy Families: What do da Vinci’s “Mona Lisa,” van Gogh’s “Starry Night,” and “You,” have in common? Yep - all three are masterpieces, but an even greater Master Craftsman created you! God formed you in your mother’s womb and knew you before you were born. You may see clumsy big feet with ingrown toenails, expanding thighs, or a receding hairline. He sees and loves what He created…a one-of-a-kind, unique you. Be careful not to paint the creation He designed with your own brush of negativity, inferiority, or shame. Thank God for and take good care of the body, mind, and spirit you have! “For we are God’s handiwork...” Ephesians 2:10 Lutheran Family Service  www.LutheranFamilyService.org

Stewardship Corner ~ We benefit a great deal from discipline.  Just as discipline benefits us when we eat right, exercise regularly, and save, we often benefit as stewards from our disciplined giving.  God promises to bless us through our faithful and generous giving.  When we sow generously, we will reap generously (2 Corinthians 9:6).  Jesus said, “For with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you” (Luke 6:38).  When we honor God with our tithes and offerings, God said that He will “pour down for [us] a blessing until there is no more need” (Malachi 3:10).  Jesus said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive” (Acts 20:35).
