Swaddling Clothes: A free will donation will be taken today through Sunday, May 17 for this mission work at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Spencer. St Paul’s assembles a collection of items associated with pregnancy and motherhood etc.. The second Saturday of each month St. Paul hosts a “shopping day” where you can survey our collection and take whatever you need. The Sunday School and Lenten Wednesday service offering will also be used for this project to help purchase items for this worthwhile cause.  *More information is on the back table about this mission work! “The mission of the Swaddling Clothes is to share the mercy of Christ with our neighbors through the gifts of clothing, food, friendship, and the forgiving Word of God.”

Thank You! Jade and I were overwhelmed by the love and support from our congregations during the baby shower. Thank you to everyone who helped plan, attended, and continues to pray for us. We are so excited for everyone to meet our new child! Pastor, Jade, and Autumn Nelson

Building Healthy Families:: “I have learned now that while those who speak about one’s miseries usually hurt, those who keep silence hurt more.” (C.S. Lewis) If you’re alive and old enough to read this, you’ve probably experienced the deep pain of losing someone you love. The Gospel, God’s ministering through His Spirit, the support of a pastor, and the love of family and friends help us heal. But sometimes – for a variety of important reasons – the pain of grief doesn’t resolve and we feel stuck. If this is true for you or someone you know, call us. Lutheran Family Service offers specialized care for complicated or unresolved grief that will help. Learn more at www.LutheranFamilyService.org Lutheran Family Service
