TLC Quilters:  

·         Flat Sheets and Old Tattered (well-loved) Quilts are needed by TLC Quilters. 

·         TLC Quilters invite you to join them in the basement to help with their many projects on Tuesdays & Thursdays, anytime from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.. No experience needed - just a willing heart!

·         TLC Quilt is available for you to take anytime on the church bench at the east door.  You have someone special you wish to give it to feel free to take!!

Women’s Bible Study at Trinity on Monday’s at 7 OR 9:30 AM in the Life Center Conference Room to study RUTH, “A story of ordinary people in Bethlehem making the most of their bad situation – and finding God in the midst of it.” Not sure… come join us and then decide! COMMUNITY NEWS

 

Eagle Scout Court of Honor for Caelum Blocker will be held here at St. John’s on Sunday, October 11, 2026 at 4:00 p.m.  The congregation is welcome to join us as Caelum receives this honor. 

 

Burt Fire Dept. will be hosting their Omelette Breakfast on Sunday, October 4 from 8-12:00 p.m. in the Fire Station at 301 1st St., Burt, Iowa. 

 

Life Chain 2026 in Algona (sponsored by Kossuth County Right to Life), will be Sunday, October 5th from 2-3 p.m. Rain or shine, please meet at 1:30 p.m. in Louscher’s parking lot (310 E. Call St). Signs provided. This is an international hour of prayer for our nation and a peaceful, legal, & compassionate public witness on behalf of the unborn at risk of elective abortion. LIFE CHAIN participants will stand and pray on the sidewalks of major roadways in cities across the nation and Canada.

 

 

Grief Support - Hospice of the Heartland  is offering a Grief Support Group for individuals who are coping with the loss of a loved one. The group provides a safe, compassionate environment where participants can process their emotions, share their experiences, and find support from others who understand the challenges of grief.The group will meet every Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. through October 14, 2026, at Kossuth Regional Health Center, Conference Room C.   Note:  Flyers are on the back table.
