Thank You for the generous gift to Camp Okoboji!  Your donation of $800 in support of our Annual Fund is a wonderful blessing! Because of your generosity, Camp Okoboji continues to be a Sanctuary-a place set apart where individuals and families can step away from the noise of everyday life and draw nearer to God. Your gift helps create an environment where faith is nurtured, community is built, and hearts are renewed . We truly are grateful for your partnership in this ministry. Adam Hengeveld,. Director

Building Healthy Families: In today’s culture, death is often suggested as the answer to life’s most challenging situations – including the challenge of an unplanned pregnancy. The world tells a scared and confused mother she can make her situation better by ending her child’s life through abortion. We Christians have a better option: tell her that she and her baby are both seen, known and loved by God. Tell her of Jesus’ love, mercy, and forgiveness. Then love her like family, support her in choosing life; offer tangible help like transportation, meals, childcare, diapers, clothing, and other household items. Continue your support through the pregnancy and long after. There is joy in living out 1 John 4:19 – We love because he first loved us! www.LutheranFamilyService.org Lutheran Family Service

AS STEWARDS, WE UNDERSTAND THAT WE ARE NOT SELF-SUFFICIENT BUT DEPENDENT UPON GOD’S GRACE

TO BE FAITHFUL IN OUR STEWARDSHIP.

“For from His fullness of His grace we have all received, grace upon grace” (John 1:16).

COMMUNITY NEWS

Algona Men of Faith Conference

Theme: “In the Arena” – The world’s definition of manhood produces boys in adult bodies. God calls men to be more. Jesus is the most masculine man to ever live. Most men go throughout life questioning, “Do I have what it takes?” Most men do not have real “foxhole” friends. Come join us Friday and Saturday August 14-15 at the Owen Farm – 2420 River Rd. Algona, Iowa, hosted by Algona Men of Faith, Algona Faith Church. The theme is “In the Arena.” Quote by Theodore Roosevelt, “It is not the critic who counts:…The credit belongs to the man in the arena.” Speakers include Pastor Eric Hauan (former Trinity Pastor), Ben Swart MD, and Pastor Jason Fischer. See the flyer for more information along the ramp..
