Building Healthy Families:  Jesus said, “Your faith has made you well.” Lutheran Family Service counselors are privileged to witness the transformation of lives as God extends “grace by faith” to people at the point of their greatest need. Do you know someone who is struggling and in need of help? Give them the number for your nearest LFS counseling office. Your support of this work which allows many to be served regardless of their ability to pay is needed and always appreciated!   Lutheran Family Service

Blessing of the Quilts will be held on today (Sunday, June 11th) at 3 p.m. at the historic Blakjer Lutheran Church in Lone Rock. We will have 60 quilts on display prior to the service. These quilts will be distributed to the Dept. of Defense Stand Down for Homeless Veterans in September.  Refreshments will be served at the Lone Rock Legion following.  Sponsored by the Lone Rock and Ringsted American Legions Auxiliaries

Stewardship Corner - In speaking to His disciples, Jesus asked them this question, “But who do you say that I am?”  How would you respond to that question?  This is a question we all need to answer.  Peter did not need to listen to what others had to say as to who Jesus was.  He told Jesus, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”  Jesus told him, “Blessed are you [Peter]!  For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father Who is in heaven” (Matthew 16:15-17).   This understanding was given to Peter and to us by revelation from the Holy Spirit.  To acknowledge Jesus as Son of God does not come from our human intellect.  What Peter believed was given to him by grace.  What he believed transformed his life.  The same is true of us.  Knowing God can’t help but change us and make us more like Jesus.
