Building Healthy Families -  A wise person once reminded a friend: Don’t worry about other peoples’ opinions of you. God never told you to impress people; only to love them. Whoever loves his brother abides in the light, and in him there is no cause for stumbling.” (1 John 2:10) Who needs your love this week? Choose to love him, love her, and abide in the light!    Lutheran Family Service

Stewardship Corner - If we were asked to identify with a person in Scripture who best exemplified a life of service, some of us would possibly select the Apostle Paul.  Out of love from Jesus and His love for Jesus, Paul lived a life of service to Him.  Serving Jesus was the passion of his life.  In Philippians 3:8, he wrote, “Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord.  For His sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ and be found in Him.”  With zeal, Paul made God’s purpose his purpose.  In the same way that God empowered Paul to be a servant, He enables us to live lives of service.  Receiving God’s love, we can respond with joy in service to Him by serving others

New Members Wanted – Burt Lions Club would like to warmly welcome interested men and women to come visit our local club. We are reaching out to grow membership numbers.  We support State and Local projects. Our aim is to “serve” others. Club meetings are held the 3rd Monday of each month starting at 6:30 p.m. with a meal at the Burt Community Center. Contact Dennis Heerdt 924-3226 or Joe Heinen 924-3379.
