St. John's will be initiating a call-em-all service that will call everyone on the list if we have a cancellation of Church services due to weather or schedule changes in the church service due to the vacancy.   This system can also be used for Church reminders of special events or upcoming meetings.   The phone number listed in the Annual Report for 2015 were the numbers used.  If you would like your cell phone number used instead of your home phone, please let the church office know.   With this system we hope to get everyone informed in a timely manner in case the radio does not announce it soon enough.  Church Council

Lutheran Witness RenewalsThe new subscription year for the Lutheran Witness is coming due soon.  To continue you getting this periodical, please pay $22.70 for the year in the church office.  If you are getting it and do not want it anymore, please let me know in the church office.  Also if you want it and do not receive it, please let me know with your payment for the year.  Rosann

Building Healthy Families Life can be hard and relationships can cause pain. When someone hurts you, you may find that it is difficult to trust again. God does not abandon you in the pain, but promises to stay with you. Through all of life's challenges, God never breaks His promise to you: "I will never leave you, I will never forsake you." (Hebrews 13) He also puts people in place to be there, including LFS counselors who are available to help with troubled relationships and the pain they leave behind

Camp Okoboji  Discover Building:   Camp Okoboji is now in need of volunteers to assist with the construction of the Discover Building.   Subcontractors are busy working and the Laborers for Christ who are on site are working only Monday through Friday.  Thank you to all who have been helping in the past few months.  We will let you know when volunteers are needed again and what tasks need to be accomplished.
