Building Healthy Families – The Bible tells us that if we are in Christ, we are a new creation (1 Corinthians 5:17). But don’t expect yourself (or those you love) to be perfect! Until we get to heaven, every one of us is still a work-in-progress! Martin Luther said it well: “This life, therefore, is not godliness, but the process of becoming godly, not health, but getting well, not being but becoming, not rest but exercise. We are not now what we shall be, but we are on the way.”   -Lutheran Family Service

Cookbook Our Saviors Lutheran in Swea City are publishing a second cookbook that will be available.  This new cookbook also includes all the recipes from the first cookbook published in 1976 and recipes from the past 40 years.  We would like to get an estimate of how many cookbooks to order and there is a sign-up paper on the table in the back of the church if you are interested in purchasing one.   Please, pay in advance and give your money to Rosann in the church office. Due date is June 1.    Nina Harbaugh

Stewardship Corner - God gave us His first and best when he gave His one and only Son.  Jesus took human form and was born of the Virgin Mary for our salvation.  As His people, we receive with graciousness, and we are called to respond with generosity.  We give our first and best because God has given us life and all of life’s resources.  Giving our first and best calls on us to set aside our offerings to the Lord first before handling our other obligations. Love for the Lord makes our generous giving possible.  When we give off the top as a priority, we confirm our trust in God.
