Burt Days will be celebrated on July 12. 

·          St. John’s will have a float in the parade that day.  We are looking for someone to pull the float. Contact Jeff Schutjer or the church office if you would be willing to help!

·         Burt Churches will be serving Coffee and Homemade Breads in the Activity Complex at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 12. Join us for a time of fellowship before the parade!  

·         A Sign up sheet is available if you would like to help us by donating Breads: Apple, Banana, Zucchini, pumpkin etc. Contact Karla Schutter 

Thank you to the entire High School Sunday School Class and their teacher Stefanie for the beautiful handmade “Blessing Bell” that I was presented at the end of the school year. CCamp Okoboji News

·         Cooks are still needed to help this summer. Contact Kellie 712-337-3325 if you would like to help.

Trinity - Summer Worship Schedule: During the summer months there will only be one Sunday service at 9:00 a.m. The Saturday service will continue at 5:00 p.m. except for holiday or wedding weekends.

TLC Quilters - Don’t forget about the TLC Quilter’s “giving pew” by the east doors of St. John’s.  Feel free to take and give away as many quilts and bears as you’d like! TLC Quilters invite you to join them in the basement on Tuesdays & Thursdays, anytime from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.

 

COMMUNITY NEWS

 

Burt Summer Celebration is coming soon!  The day is planned for July 12 with many activities during the day!  Church Coffee and Garage Sales at 8:00 a.m., Parade at 10:30 a.m., Meal at the Complex after the parade, many activities in the afternoon with food available, pedal pull, Toilet Toss, Watermelon derby, a dance in the evening and the night ending with the annual fireworks by the Burt Fire Dept. Mark your calendars and be sure to come!!!

 

Burt Library News: Billie Willie from the Water’s Edge Nature Center will be at the Library on Monday, June 30th at 1:00 p.m. She will be talking us through the wonderful world of INSECTS! All kids are welcome!! (adults too!)
