VBS Fishing Derby - Our first summer VBS event will be a Fishing Derby and will be held at Smith Lake TODAY (bait provided) from 2-4:00 p.m. fishing and 4:30 p.m. short lesson, 5-5:30 p.m. Supper will be served and provided by committee. We will meet at Smith Lake southwest shelter house. Please, bring a friend - we look forward to seeing you there!

· Pictorial Sign-up Sheets are now available in the back to schedule your appointments for the Pictorial Directory. Be sure to do this as soon as possible!!
· Pictorial Directory: Dates are set for June 17-18 from 2-8:30 p.m. each day. If you cannot make this, you are welcome to set up appointments at Trinity on June 11-14) to have them taken there. You MUST set up your appointment ahead of time. Talk to committee members (Lynn & Kitty Bierstedt/Kelly Fitzgerald/Jessie Parsons/Barb Schroeder-Rahe/Brenda Schutjer) or call Bonita Meyer at Trinity.

Burt Days will be celebrated on July 12. St. John’s will have a float in the parade that day. We are looking for someone to pull the float. Contact Jeff Schutjer or church office if you would be willing to help!

Camp Okoboji News
· Camp Okoboji Quilt Auction will be Saturday, June 14 at 12:30 p.m.. View quilts Friday, June 13, 5-7 p.m. & Saturday, June 14, 9 a.m.-noon. Free-will Lunch & Craft Fair begin at 11 a.m. Bids can be submitted to the camp office if unable to attend. Proceeds go toward updates in the camp kitchen. View quilts online at campokoboji.org

150th Anniversary of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Lotts Creek will be celebrated on Sunday, June 22, 2025. Join us for a hymn sing accompanied by Glenn Henriksen starting at 9:45 a.m.! Then the Divine Service will start at 10:30 a.m. with a meal to follow. Please join us in praising God for His wondrous blessings to our church!
Building Healthy Families: Parents, grandparents and pew buddies – over the summer months, libraries often issue various reading challenges, encouraging folks of all ages to pick up good books. Why not engage in your own family “Bible verse” challenge? Select a Bible verse and set a goal to read it (or a section of it) at a regular time each day during the coming week. Write it out on a note card or a big poster board (bonus points for adding illustrations), find or compose a tune for singing it, or create hand motions or actions to involve your whole selves in hiding God’s Word in your hearts. Trinity - Summer Worship Schedule: During the summer months there will only be one Sunday service at 9:00 a.m. The Saturday service will continue at 5:00 p.m. except for holiday or wedding weekends.
TLC Quilters - Don’t forget about the TLC Quilter’s “giving pew” by the east doors of St. John’s. Feel free to take and give away as many quilts and bears as you’d like! TLC Quilters invite you to join them in the basement on Tuesdays & Thursdays, anytime from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m
IDW Convention -Please pray for the 42nd Convention of Iowa District West beginning today (6/8) and going thru Tuesday (6/10) at Camp Okoboji. Keep all who will be attending in your prayers for safe travels. Pray for God’s blessings upon our district and the business at hand.
