TLC Quilters - Don’t forget about the TLC Quilter’s “giving pew” by the east doors of St. John’s. Feel free to take and give away as many quilts and bears as you’d like!
· Old Tattered Quilts Needed! Well-loved quilts can be repurposed into prayer hearts to provide comfort for others.
· Old Denim Jeans? We are in need of old denim jeans (any color & any condition) to make into quilts. Bring them to the church office or stop by the basement on Tuesdays or Thursdays to see them in action!
· Flat Sheets are needed by the TLC Quilters.
Lutherans for Life “Just as … I AM” - Lutherans For Life believes that the Church is compelled by God’s Word to speak and act on behalf of those who are vulnerable and defenseless. The crisis of our times is the repudiation of biblical truth manifested in the wanton destruction of innocent human life through legalized abortion-on-demand and the growing threat to the lives of others through legalized assisted suicide and euthanasia. Therefore, as Lutherans For Life, we will strive to give a Gospel-motivated witness to the Church and society on these and other related issues, such as chastity, post-abortion healing, and family living. We will call God’s people to compassionate action and foster life-affirming alternatives for those facing difficult situations.

Kossuth Right to Life Rally - The right to life is under attack. After the U.S. The Supreme Court overturned Roe v Wade, the culture of death was intensified in its attacks on families. Pro-life legislation in several states suffered bitter defeats. But there is good work being done too! Labors may be long before they bear fruit, but all good labors are with hope! Let‘s take encouragement unto ourselves and share it with others ! Join us today for our Annual Kossuth Right to Life Rally at the Columbia Events Center, 1501 E Walnut St. Algona, Iowa at 1:30 p.m.. Guest speaker will be Pastor Jonathan Hanson from the Ramsey Reformed Church in Titonka.
