Window Project – The windows have been completed and with the delay they are set now to be installed this week (October 16-20).   They will be taking the current windows with them for disposal so if anyone wishes to have a window, you will need to be at the church to have them loaded on to your trailer the day they take it out. You will need to make arrangements with the installers as to what window you would like and when they plan on removing it.   We will not be putting them in the garage for you to pick up at a later date – they need to be taken right away. The installers will be at the church around 10 a.m. Monday the 16 of October.

Stewardship CornerIn the Apostle Paul’s letter to the church in Corinth, he wrote, “But as you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all earnestness, and in our love for you—see that you excel in this act of grace also” (2 Corinthians 8:7).  Just as Paul urged them, we are urged to “Excel in the Grace of Giving.”  God calls and equips us to be generous people.  In Christ, we can stop putting our self-interests first and seek to be giving and sharing people.  We give because we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.  By God’s grace, we desire to give regularly, generously, and cheerfully.

Building Healthy Families - Date night! When was the last time you planned a date with your spouse? A date doesn’t have to cost a lot to make it fun. An extra special meal, a drive in the country with the radio on, or recreating your first date are just a few ideas. What counts most is the time you prioritize for each other. Let your spouse know with actions and words that if you had to do it all over again, you would. “Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers a multitude of sins.” I Peter 4:8 Lutheran Family Service www.LutheranFamilyService.org
