VOTER’S MEETING will be held today following the service to present and vote on the 2013 Budget and Slate of Officers.  Please stay as this is an important meeting!!

 

CHRISTMAS CHILDREN PROGRAM PRACTICE will be held Saturday Dec. 17th at 9:00 a.m. The Children’s Christmas Eve Program will be on Saturday, December 24th at 6:00 p.m.

 

POINSETTIA PLANTS – There is a sign-up sheet in the back of the church for anyone who would like to purchase a poinsettia plant for the church to use for Christmas. You can take their plants home after Christmas morning services if you would like.  Please pay Cheryl Batt for the plants!

 

ADOPTED FAMILY –  Our adopted family is a family of 4 – single mother and 3 children. 

*Boy age 9:  Boy- Shirt and jean size 8. Toys: Football, anything sports etc.

*Girl age 7: girl shirt size 8 and jean size 7x.  Toys: Radio, Barbie stuff and anything Justin Bieber

*Boy age 5: Shirt top 5T, pants 4-5T. Toys: Disney cars, Toy story, big coloring books

*Mother – misses medium sweatshirt not picky

For Family:  Food certificates and/or gas cards

 

Bring your gifts wrapped and marked for what child to the church and place them in the designated box in the back.  All gift cards and money can be given to Don & Pam Madsen and Boyd & Rosann Shipler or Jerry and Betty Koestler.  Delivery will be Wednesday, December 21st but we would like to have most of the gifts in to the church by Sunday, December 18th

RETIREMENT - You are cordially invited to an Open House celebrating the ministry of Rev. Bob Riggert, Iowa District West Executive Assistant for Youth, Education, and Stewardship. The Open House will take place Friday, December 16, from 10 am to 4 pm at the District Office (409 Kenyon Road). Pastor Riggert has announced his retirement from his District position, effective January 31, 2012.

 

BARBERSHOP CHRISTMAS CONCERT is being held today at the Algona Methodist Church with performances at 2 and 4 p.m.  Come join us!!
