FUNERAL SERVICES for Roy Roed will be held here at St. John’s on Monday, October 24^th at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will be at Lentz Funeral Home in Burt from 3-5 p.m.

 

THANK YOU!   Kids of the Kingdom Preschool would like to thank everyone who attended our soup luncheon on Sunday.  We were so pleased with the turnout.  Special thanks to the ladies of the LWML groups who helped with providing us bars - they are always a big hit and such a nice variety. Thank you also to the students who helped us with serving and also keeping the tables filled.  Without your help, your preschool wouldn't be able to operate as it does today and give such a wonderful Christian opportunity for our students.  May God bless each of you!                                                                     Kids of the Kingdom Board and Staff

REQUEST - The Mailing Committee for the Centennial Celebration requests your help for addresses of your relatives or friends that are former members of St. Johns.  Please pick up a address form at the back of the church, complete and if possible include e-mail addresses as this will save postage when we mail the invitations.  Forms may be placed back in the box or dropped off at the church office. Thanks Vern and Rosann.

 

OUTREACH EVENT – The Registration deadline in coming November 1, 2011 for the Outreach Resource and Training Event to be held on November 5^th at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Storm Lake from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  We will be having Rev. Bob Newton, President of the California-Nevada-Hawaii District as our keynote speaker.  Many break-out sessions will be available and you may attend at least 2 during the day.  Pastor Peterson will be heading up the event and will be leading a break-out session.  If you wish to know more about this event feel free to talk to him. Cost: $15 per individual or $30 per family.  Family activities and babysitting will be available.  Registration is due November 1 on Tuesday and you can do that by contacting Pastor or online at 222.idwlcms.org/outreach or call Jill at 515-576-7666.  (Info also on insert in today’s bulletin)
